We publish this magazine to keep our community updated on departmental accomplishments, groundbreaking research, our newest faculty members, and the many ways our faculty, students, and alumni continue to make a lasting impact.

This year, we’re doing something a little different—focusing on our educators. Teaching is at the core of our mission, but it often takes a backseat to the excitement surrounding our world-class research. As this issue will demonstrate, however, our department has long been a leader in shaping generations of chemists, biochemists, medical professionals, and countless other students eager to explore the chemical sciences.
